SEAONC received a generous donation from the family of Walter Hensolt to fund a permanent SEAONC history record: the Hensolt SEAONC Legacy project. Walter was a dedicated San Francisco structural engineer for fifty years, where he was a principal at his firm, Chin & Hensolt Engineers. His professional legacy in the San Francisco Bay Area includes signature projects such as the Transamerica Pyramid, Candlestick Park, the St. Francis Hotel Tower, One Market Plaza and Marine World-Africa USA.

The Hensolt SEAONC Legacy Project is a continually expanding interactive online database of the history of SEAONC Structural Engineers, our leadership, and contributions to the practice of Structural and Earthquake Engineering. The Hensolt SEAONC Legacy Project commenced in 2015 under the leadership of Darrick Hom. The web site features information and backgrounds of the Engineers, Structures, Organizations and Events that have shaped the Structural Engineering profession in the San Francisco Bay Area since 1939. This web site now includes over 50 SEAONC Engineers, over 45 Structures, the Organizations, the Firms, and significant Events that have shaped the profession. The SEAONC Legacy committee continues the research and documentation to expand the data for this rich history of SEAONC Engineers.
